This is my first posting after years of enjoying your site. Oh how I wish I could afford a pair of hooks like yours, I would always wear them as Jill, so people would only know me as Jill, "the double arm amputee".
I recently obtained a second thermo-plastic SFO, and made my own built up right shoe. I've been out several times with both AFOs and built up (as Jill), and have so enjoyed being severely crippled. My walk is some what like that of someone with cerebal palsy and it is nice to attract attention as a crippled woman and receive sympathetic looks and smiles from strangers.
I haven't spent a whole day yet, as it gets very tiring after awhile, but I am building up my stamina in order for Jill to be crippled all day, and into the evening.
Are members able to post photos of themselves, so others can see what they look like as disabled women?

Hi Jill
Years ago I made myself a built-up boot and would go out in the evenings. Because of the uneven height I would walk as if severely crippled in the legs. As you say, it was tiring but very enjoyable.
Enjoy yourself being who you desire to be. Peggy

Hi all, this is my first post. Concerning build ups, i havent made a build up for my boot, but what i have done is added lead sheets inside the boot , which as well as lifting the foot, also makes it a lot more difficult to walk, resulting in a nice limp.

james how much lift would you want on your shoe? The lead is a nice idea to cripple the leg.
