Instead of hooks, has anyone ever had their hands cast, so that for some time they had the equivalent of no hands?

I hace gone out a few times with both hands casted and a long sleeve jacket to looke like I have lost my hands, only for a few hrs at a time.

That would be a great experience. I wonder how long it would be practical to keep hands cast? A few days perhaps?

Matilda,
My cast are made so I can just slip them on & off. It would be hard to leave them on for so long unless yoiu had hel to things like eat and personal matters.
